Antique is an object made in or belonging to earlier times. An antique item can be valuable because of its scarcity, manufacturer, previous owners, or nostalgic qualities. Usually, these antique materials are made of copper and nickel. But the question now is what the difference between the two antique racks is. A copper is a brownish-red metallic element that is one of the most widely used of metals. Because of its many desirable properties, such as its conductivity of electricity and heat, its resistance to corrosion, its malleability and ductility, and its beauty, copper has long been used in a wide variety of applications. The principal uses are electrical, because of copper's extremely high conductivity, which is second only to that of silver. Since this copper has a very high resistance to corrosion which is an important property, which is why some prefer to use this.

However, another common type is an antique towel rack made of nickel. A nickel is a silvery white, magnetic metallic element used chiefly in making alloys. Nickel is a hard, malleable, ductile metal, capable of taking a high polish. Metallic nickel is not very active chemically. It is soluble in dilute nitric acid and becomes passive (nonreactive) in concentrated nitric acid; it does not react with alkalies. It is usually used as a protective and ornamental coating for metals, particularly iron and steel, that are susceptible to corrosion. The nickel plate is deposited by electrolysis in a nickel solution. It imparts great strength and corrosion resistance to steel. As you can observe, copper and nickel’s properties are almost the same. Both can resist the corrosion and rust. The only difference is their color. Nickel is white while copper is red.
Antique towel rack nowadays are more than just an equipment where you can hang your towels, now these racks have become an equipment which acts as a décor and could help you make your place elegant to look at.
